The Naval Welding Institute, LLC (NWI) is a holistic approach to advanced training. We support education and instruction initiatives pertaining to Welding, Nondestructive Testing (NDT), Additive Manufacturing (AM), and Metallurgy with emphasis on: 

  • Fundamental Principles Governing Surface and Subsurface Ship Fabrication and Repair

  • Naval Joining and Non-Destructive Evaluation Requirements

  • Applied Skills in Current and Emerging Technologies for Trades Professionals

  • Manual, Mechanized, Robotic, and Solid State Techniques for Welders

  • Non-Destructive (Surface & Volumetric) and Destructive Testing Methods

Mission

The mission of NWI is to develop sustainable human capital (transitioning veterans and civilians), specifically trained to advanced Naval fabrication and inspection 

methods, with universal marketability, affording 

immediate placement at any public or private organization supporting manufacture or repair.

NWI aims be the premiere welding, metallurgy, and inspection organization supporting higher education and the industrial workforce.
